Road Work Continues On Bengal Blvd.

Road Work

Sewer line replacement and roadwork will continue to affect traffic on Bengal Blvd. and part of 2300 East.

The project is expected to last most of the summer, and will cause several lane restrictions and detours in the area.

Cottonwood Heights appreciates the patience of affected residents and business operators during this time.

UPDATE (8/17/15):

Due to unforeseen circumstances, weather delays and logistic setbacks, construction will most likely continue into most of September.

Cottonwood Heights recognizes that the final paving of Bengal Boulevard will create congestion in vicinity of Brighton High School, Canyon View Elementary School, Butler Middle School and residences at the beginning of the school year.

With hindsight, some of these delays may have been avoided, while other factors (like extreme weather and geographic discoveries) were unforeseen.

We appreciate our residents' patience as our contracted crews work to complete the project.

The work has been contracted by Staker Parson Companies. Staker Parson has agreed to work through weekends and cease paving operations during school hours to accommodate traffic in and around the school zones.

Staker Parson has set up a hotline for questions and concerns at 801-604-3399 or 800-292-3557.

Here is a summary of the project:
